Now using Disqus for commenting… and loving it!

So today I decided that I wanted a better commenting system than the simple “end your post with a question mark” system that tumblr has. So I did as the brilliant tumblr peeps recommend and set up Disqus as a commenting system.
The whole process was pretty painless and only required some relatively minor tweaking and now I’ve got a full-featured commenting system. Spam protection, threaded comments, facebook integration (yes, the kind where your friends can comment on your blog and it shows up as an event on their facebook), and users can log in using OpenID, Twitter, disqus account (if they have one) or as I already said facebook.
So far, I’m really impressed, they also have some other nice features like the ability to tie comment counts into your feedburner feeds. Like I said, very impressed so far. If you haven’t seen it, it’s worth checking out: http://disqus.com
